Mobile, mobile, mobile is the new location, location, location. Your product / website needs to work on mobile devices. When I say work, I mean transform for the device the user is ... usering. Also, just having the full blown website scaled down on the tiny screen doesn't cut the mustard . Back when I was a kid, we had very limited access to technology and if you really wanted to do something great with a computer, you had to code it out yourself. Now that kids today have access to virtually anything they want to do - online, I have a feeling that there will be a massive shortage of true developers in the near future. This is why I continually push my kids to not only use technology, but really understand how it all works, this includes trying to get them to start developing.
