Building iPhone and Android apps with Javascript!

December 20, 2009 in Gadgets, Tech, Usability by Brandon Corbin

Last month I found Titanium, a powerfully simple platform that helps you build native iPhone and Adroid apps (mac, linux and windows too)  with only HTML, CSS and Javascript – the designers coding trifecta.

Titanium has helped fulfill a fantasy of mine dating back to 2007 when I got my first iPhone. The freedom to build my own personal portable web enabled software. Unfortunately, I found Objective-CCocoa” drastically different from anything I have done before – and thus never  found the passion to learn it. So my personal iPhone apps dream died, until last month. Thanks guys!

Titanium is FREE and runs on Mac, Windows and Linux – (I’m pretty sure you will need a Mac to build iPhone apps).

Hahlo – the killer Twitter iPhone App, that’s not an iPhone App.

November 23, 2009 in Design, Grapevine, Green, Tech by Brandon Corbin

Check Hahlo out on your iPhone, Pre or Android Phone at http://hahlo.com

Mobile Photo Nov 23, 2009 10 37 17 PMBypassing the entire “AppStore Process”, Hahlo did the next best thing and built a killer Twitter client that runs on your phones browser.

Another bonus with the current phone browsers market, is the dominace of WebKit, which currently powers the iPhone, Android and Palm Pre’s web browsers.

From there website:
Hahlo is free to use, and free from unsightly ads, but as a consequence we rely on your donations to keep Hahlo up-to-date. Countless hours go into development and support and all contributions, big and small, are greatly appreciated. Big thanks to those who’ve already donated
